Please read the following carefully before making your class booking with us. When a class is booked we are unable to offer refunds or alternative dates if you are unable to attend. You are welcome to transfer your class booking over to a friend of yours - ust let us know their name and contact information. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel an entire class we will provide you with ample notice. All students will be offered a class on an alternative date or a full refund of their booking. Unfortunately we cannot be liable for any other costs you may incur with your booking (for example transport and accommodation). Please note that we are a working bakery, so people attending our classes do so at their own risk and we cannot be liable for any injuries or accidents that occur during the classes.

Vegan Baking and Cake Decorating with Ms. Cupcake – FULL DAY CLASS

Due to popular demand, Ms. Cupcake and her team now offer Full Day classes that will help you master the art of vegan baking and decorating in one day!

You will learn all the tricks and techniques of baking to getting a vegan cake to be light and fluffy and how to replace ‘traditional’ ingredients like eggs, butter and milk. We will teach you everything you need to know to ‘veganise’ your favourite recipes and how to apply different methods to different types of bakes.

At this class you will learn how to make and decorate:
Victoria Sponge Cake
Chocolate Cake
Vanilla Cupcakes
Chocolate Cupcakes
Sugar Cookies

You will learn how to make the most amazing vegan buttercream icing in a variety of flavours and decorate all of your treats like a pro! We will teach you how to fill piping bags, use different types of nozzles to get different effects and how to pipe buttercream icing onto cupcakes. We will also show you how to roll out sugar-paste and make simple flowers and other designs to decorate your cupcakes.

In addition to layer-cakes and cupcakes, you will also learn how to decorate sugar cookies with ease. At the end of the class you will go home with a HUGE bag full of cupcakes, cakes, and cookies to share with your family and friends.

This class is held at the Central Street Cookery School at 90 Central St, London EC1V 8AJ. The class runs from 10:30am-4:00pm and we will provide all necessary equipment at the class.

Please note, participants need to be 18 or over unless they are supervised by an adult who also holds a ticket to the class. We can accept participants as young as 12 years of age – but they MUST be supervised by an adult who is also attending.

Running a food business from home

Set up the business in terms of HMRC, Register your home kitchen with your local council, Obtain food safety and hygiene qualifications, Get your business online, Use social media effectively, Brand your business and find your unique selling point, Employ staff, Find customers and a marketplace to retail your goods, Get methods in place so that you run your business rather than having it run you!

This information-packed 2 hour seminar led by Mellissa Morgan (aka Ms. Cupcake) will educate and motivate you to get your business off the ground!

Baking Vegan Cakes

Baking eggless and dairy free cakes is as simple as simple can be!  In this demonstration class you will watch one of our talented staff bake and ice our famous Victoria Sponge cake, explaining it to you every step of the way. We will discuss the tricks to getting a vegan cake to be light and fluffy and how to replace ‘traditional’ ingredients like eggs, butter and milk. You will also learn the basics to making a vegan frosting and watch how to ice a large cake like a pro! At the end of the class you will be given the recipe to take away with you to try out at home and you will also take home a slice of our freshly made cake!
